FedEx is a logistics company founded in the United States in 1971. It is considered one of the "Big Four" of global logistics. The company annually transports about 1.2 billion packages worldwide with an annual revenue of almost $47.46 billion in 2015. In April 2015, FedEx announced its intention to buy its competitor TNT Express for 4.8 billion francs.
From among the different FedEx delivery services, expedismart.ch allows you to choose:
- FedEx International Economy
- FedEx International Priority
- FedEx Priority Overnight (for shipments from Switzerland to Switzerland)

Terms of FedEx supplementary insurance:
- Cost of this insurance to the client: 1% of the value of the package
- Maximum coverage: USD 50,000 per package
- Coverage without insurance: Warsaw Convention
FedEx bans or severely restricts the transport of the following goods:
- Silver, coins, and stamp collection
- Explosives, human bodies, organs or body parts, human and animal embryos, cremated or decomposed human remains
- APO/FPO addresses
- Delivery-versus-payment shipments
- Firearms, military equipment, ammunition and parts
- Perishable foodstuffs, foods, and beverages that need to be chilled or requiring a controlled environment
- Plants and plant bodies, including seeds and cut flowers (cut flowers are accepted for certain destinations. Information is available on request.)
- Lottery tickets and playthings when they are prohibited by law
- Perishable goods (other than those provided in point 7) unless there is prior agreement
- Pornographic and/or obscene articles

Unless there is prior agreement, shipments of the following items:
- Transires
- Refund requests and temporary importation documents
- Letters of credit
- Hazardous waste
- Ice
- Shipments requiring FedEx to obtain a special license or permit to transport, import, or export
- Shipments whose transport, importation, or exportation is prohibited by any law or regulation
- Shipments with a declared customs value higher than the allowed value (see Article 18 of FedEx Terms & Conditions: Declared Value and Limitations of Liability)
- Dangerous products, unless their transport is allowed in Article 9: Dangerous Products of FedEx Terms & Conditions
- Dead or stuffed animals
- Damp packages that emit a certain odor
- Packages wrapped in kraft paper
- Live animals and insects, unless the shipment is coordinated and approved by the FedEx Live Animal Office. Clients may contact FedEx locally for more information. Pets and live fish are not accepted.
- Shipments that may cause damages or delays to equipment, personnel, or other shipments
