AXA terms and conditions summary
- Cost of this insurance: 1% of the insured value
- Maximum coverage: CHF 50,000 per package
- Packing: The object must be packed in accordance with the transport requirements
AXA exclude the insurance of the following goods:
- Securities and any kind of documents
- Unworked precious metals, ingots or coins, of a value at least equal to that of money; Ordinary coins of non-precious metals (not including timepieces)
- Bank notes
- Lots taken out of the draw
- Objects of artistic or amateur value
- Fine pearls (including cultured pearls), precious stones and other jewels
- Live, dead or naturalized animals, animal embryos
- Live or fresh plants, seeds
- Narcotics and doping agents
- Collection stamps
- Firearms, war materials, ammunition and parts
- Pyrotechnic and flammable, explosive devices
- Obscene or pornographic objects
- Counterfeiting
- Dead body, including ash
- Antiquities
- Asbestos
- Furs
- Hazardous or combustible materials (as defined by IATA regulations)
- Illegal narcotics
- Perishable goods
- Ivory and related products
- Any goods whose shipment is prohibited by law, regulation or legislation of a federal, national or local government of a country to or from the shipment is sent.
This also applies when the goods to be insured are designated under a common name, such as "goods of any kind" or are part of a move.
What to do in case of damages or loss
- Immediately review the condition of the goods
- Take measures to limit damage and prevent further damage

- Apparent damages must be declared in a written declaration to the carrier before taking goods delivery
- Damage not externally visible or suspected
Reporting damage or loss of a shipment
In case of a sinister, you will have to justify the insured value.

For a quick resolution, please prepare the following items you’ll attach to the form:
- Detailed damage list
- Damage pictures (detailed view, overview)
- Commercial invoice
- Delivery note / packing list (if the invoice is not detailed enough)
- Letters to the carrier
- Response to the letter of reservations
- Certificate of definitive loss in case of non-delivery
- All correspondence related to the accident
