Sending parcels to Saudi Arabia
Important documents

As the shipper, give the courier the packing slip and a pro forma or commercial invoice (if you’re selling the goods). The pro forma invoice is a document you need to produce to tell Saudi customs what your package contains. If the goods are sold, the document to be given is a commercial invoice, which you can also create yourself or which will be filled in automatically if you book your shipment on Expedismart.ch.

Essential information to include in your pro forma or commercial invoice for Saudi Arabia

  • The full address of the sender (you) and the recipient
  • A clear and precise description of the goods, the number of packages and the value of the goods in CHF
  • If the recipient is a company, the company’s VAT number.
  • Don’t forget to sign and date the invoice
  • Like all Pro-forma invoices, it must be written in English or in the language of the destination country.

CHECK-LIST

  • Full mailing address
  • Pro forma document
  • Customs declaration
  • No prohibited goods (in accordance with our terms and conditions of sale and those of the carriers)

Council: New 2023 regulations for Saudi Arabia

Since 2023, the Saudi government has required the recipient’s address to be “a short address code or the national address”.

Why?

  • This will shorten delivery times.
  • Shipments are less likely to be blocked at customs or returned to you.
Comment faire?

Demandez au destinataire sur place afin de connaître son code d'adresse court ou son adresse nationale. Le code d'adresse court contient 8 chiffres. Entrez ces 8 chiffres dans la ligne 2 du champs d'adresses.
